Somewhere between the aircraft door, the car, the tender and the hotel lobby, most travel bags fail. Either they carry well and look like equipment, or they look beautiful and give up after the first long day.
Pharovant starts from that gap. Its first product, Grand Terrain 45, is a travel backpack of 45 litres, expandable to around 55, built on the idea that a truly exclusive object has to earn its place through function first. The carry system comes before the leather, the structure before the embroidery.
Only then does design take over: technical textiles with a ballistic hand, full-grain leather where hands and shoulders touch the bag, quiet hardware and embroidery that tells a story. Each piece is numbered, signed and accompanied by a product passport – made in small editions rather than collections.
The project is being developed in the Lighthouse Lab, where we take ideas from the first sketch to a product that can be built, sold and defended. This page tells the story of where Grand Terrain stands today.
